DOG FOSTER PARENTS CAN EARN $25 A WEEK IN GAS & GROCERIES & ENTER TO WIN $1,000
Memphis Animal Services hopes to send 100 dogs to foster homes in 10 days for “Fall Foster Challenge” from October 14-24
We have been operating over our capacity for months and months despite having a really solid, dedicated base of foster parents. The Fall Foster Challenge is an exciting way to get people interested in fostering so we can get some of these dogs out of the shelter and into homes to enjoy Memphis’s beautiful fall weather.
Thanks to grant funding from Best Friends Animal Society, dog foster parents will earn $25 Kroger gift card for each week that they have the dog in their care, up to four weeks.
Dog Foster parents who complete all Fall Foster Challenge tasks and submit the Fall Foster Challenge Progress Form will also be entered to win the grand prize of a $1,000 Visa gift card, the 2nd place prize of a $100 Visa gift card, or the 3rd place prize of a $50 Visa gift card. Fall Foster Challenge tasks are below:
- Foster the dog for 14 days OR until they are adopted, reclaimed by owner, or transferred to rescue
- Submit at least 3 photos of the dog to mas@memphistn.gov
- Submit a bio about the dog of at least 150 words to mas@memphistn.gov
- Share about the foster dog to at least one social media platform, via one email, or on one print flyer (and email proof to mas@memphistn.gov)
City of Memphis employees and their immediate families are not eligible.
Any foster who processes a foster care agreement for a dog between October 14-24 is eligible to participate.
After taking their foster dog home, they should submit the Fall Foster Challenge Progress Form. After they’ve had the foster dog in their care for four weeks OR after their foster dog has been placed or adopted, they should submit the Fall Foster Challenge Completion form to claim their gift cards and enter to win prizes.
Participants: Please allow at least 30 days for processing to receive your Kroger gift card(s). You will receive an email with a date they will be available for pickup from Memphis Animal Services. The winners of the Visa gift card prizes will be announced by December 7.
