Women Offering Women Support (WOWS)

In 2018, Mayor Jim Strickland and the City of Memphis Administration decided women in the Greater Memphis Area deserved a program to help build character, improve communication, and strengthen leadership skills for women. In pursuit of that objective, Women Offering Women Support (WOWS) was created, formed and implemented by The Office of Community Affairs. WOWS is a six-session program delivered by community partners in a workshop setting.

This is a six-session program and the course topics are:

The expectation of WOWS is to encourage, empower and employ the women in Memphis to reach their highest potential.

WHEN:
All classes for the accelerated sessions are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for a period of two weeks.

Class times are 10am – noon and 5 – 7 p.m.

Location:
All classes will be held at 555 Beale Street.

Please note: Covid19 safety precautions will govern our class sizes. 

We follow CDC, City of Memphis & Shelby County Health Department Covid Regulations.
