Statement from Mayor Strickland on Governor Lee’s budget

“I’ve spoken for years about our momentum, and this news brings more of it to our riverfront!  It will not only help enhance what’s happening just down the street at Tom Lee Park, but it will make it more viable for a rapidly expanding riverboat tourism industry.  We’re grateful to Governor Bill Lee and his team, not only for adopting our Harbor Docks vision, but for the investment in other Memphis amenities such as the National Civil Rights Museum, Leftwich Tennis Center and The Brooks Museum.” – Mayor Jim Strickland
