Mayor Strickland’s Advisory Council on Reimagining Policing (ACRP) was created to develop actionable recommendations to improve the Memphis Police Department.
The ACRP will make recommendations to:
- Improve Transparency
- Increase Accountability
- Improve Community Relations
- Evaluate Excessive Use of Force
A series of focus group conversations will be held to capture the input and feedback of the Memphis community regarding Reimagining Policing in the City of Memphis. 4(four) public focus groups will be hosted virtually for any local Memphis resident interested in contributing to this conversation. Anyone interested in participating will need to do the following:
- Register for one of the sessions
- Have access to laptop, computer, cellphone, etc. with virtual meeting capabilities (microphone, camera)
- Be a willing participant during the conversation
