Beginning Monday, July 11, at 7 a.m. and lasting until 5 p.m. the same day, Southern Avenue/McLemore Avenue between Rayner Street and Melrose Street will be closed to through traffic to allow a railroad contractor to reconstruct the railroad crossing.

Local traffic will have access on Southern Avenue/McLemore Avenue up to the closure at the railroad tracks.

Motorists who normally use Southern Avenue/McLemore Avenue between Rayner Street and Melrose Street are advised to use an alternate route during the days of closure.

The signed detour route will make use of Southern Avenue, Kyle Street, Netherwood Avenue and Rayner Street.
