Jack Carley Causeway (President’s Island) – Riverside Blvd.

Jack Carley Causeway (President’s Island) – Riverside Blvd.

Beginning Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 9 a.m. and lasting until sometime Thursday evening, June 29, 2023, Riverside Blvd. between McLemore Avenue and Jack Carley Causeway as well as Jack Carley Causeway at Riverside Blvd. will be closed to through traffic to allow the Canadian National (CN) Railroad to perform maintenance on their railroad crossing.  This will affect access to both President’s Island and the French Fort Neighborhood.

Motorists who normally use Riverside Blvd. between McLemore Avenue and Jack Carley Causeway and Jack Carley Causeway at Riverside Blvd. are advised to use an alternate route during the days of the closure.

Local traffic will have access to Riverside Blvd. and Jack Carley Causeway up to the closure at the railroad tracks.

The signed detour route will make use of Riverside Blvd, Trigg Avenue, and Jack Carley Causeway.

This is a CN RR project.  All traffic control is the responsibility of the CN Railroad.  For additional information, please contact Jason Parker, CN RR, at 901-229-5191.
