The City of Memphis is hosting a public information meeting for the Holmes Road Roadway Widening Project from South 3rd Street to Horn Lake Road to show the public the proposed roadway improvements and to discuss any issues or concerns.
The meeting will be Thursday, June 29, 2023, at John P Freeman Optional School, 5250 Tulane Road, from 6-8 p.m. The Holmes Road Roadway Widening Project begins at the intersection with South 3rd Street and continues to the intersection of Horn Lake Road. The distance is approximately 2.1 miles. The proposed improvements are to widen the existing two-lane roadway to a three-lane roadway, with a two-way left-turn lane (TWLTL) in the center with sidewalks on both sides of the roadway.
