City Winter Weather Update (1-6)

City Winter Weather Update (1-6)

The City’s primary focus during inclement weather is to first treat major streets with inclines/declines, as well as any bridges and overpasses. Secondly, the City will treat remaining major streets on an as-needed basis. Emergency service providers such as hospitals, police, and fire precincts will also receive special considerations during inclement weather.

The City has access to 12 snowplow attachments that are retrofitted for our heavy equipment trucks. However, snowplows are deployed when snow accumulations are four inches or higher. Public Works crews are closely monitoring weather conditions and will continue to do so throughout the winter advisory and will adjust its snow/ice operation based on needs.

The City is reminding citizens to use extreme caution as they travel on roadways.
