Annual Housing & Community Development grant applications to be accepted beginning December 15

The Division of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is soliciting proposals for the Strategic Community Investment Fund (SCIF) grant programs beginning Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Programs available for competitive grant application submissions for FY23 will include the following City and federally funded programs:

  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)
  • HOME-Funded Tenant Based Rental Assistance (HOME-TBRA)
  • Neighborhood Partnership Grant (NPG)

The Strategic Community Investment Fund (SCIF) is a competitive funding process that provides the opportunity for the City, through HCD, to support a wide range of community-based projects. The SCIF process identifies local programs and projects that directly benefit Memphis neighborhoods and citizens. FY22 saw almost $7 million in grants and loans distributed to local nonprofit organizations.

Applications for all programs will be available beginning Wednesday, December 15, 2021, following the Virtual Pre-Application Workshop. All applications must be submitted electronically. The deadline for all applications is Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.

An information and technical support workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 10:00 am. You must register online at https://bit.ly/SCIF23 to attend.
